Imagine a melancholic violin grinding aggressively, a clean guitar drunk with distortion, a strictly playful rhythm section, femininely masculine vocals, devastating in their softness… all of them oxymoron standing for a music to be discovered…
Kyrenee, established in 2002, is a band that distinguishes itself by its impossibility to fit into any given category. Following its logo, Kyrenee’s music reflects pure schizophrenia. Good and Evil, brutality and tenderness are battling eternally without any of them ever gaining the upper hand. This is a unique result begotten by the seven band members’ differing musical influences and by their will to transform their very first musical project into something very special. It’s your turn to discover the results…
With Kyrenee still missing a demo-CD, we had the opportunity to play with bands such as The Crüxshadows, Tankard, Goddess of Desire, Elis, Visions of Atlantis, Thorax, Das Scheit, Anubiz or Darzamat.
Despite the fact that we haven’t played many shows in the last two years, we are proud to announce that we are still pretty much alive. In fact, we have been working on new material, added a cello and had a slight line-up change and are ready to take the stage in 2009.
